Choose a Kayak or a Canoe and head out for the day! These excursions offer a unique opportunity to experience what New Jersey has to offer.
    Cedar Creek Kayak Canoe
  • Cedar Creek
  • A tea colored, clear water twisty stream through cedar forests and Double Trouble State Park. This creek offers excellent scenery and multiple accesses that allow trips to be tailored for different lengths of time. A 7 mile, 4.5 mile, 3 mile, and 1.5 mile trip are available.
  • Barnegat Bay
  • Enjoy & explore protected coastline of the Barnegat Bay offering clamming, crabbing, fishing and bird watching. Enjoy the protected barrier island beaches and sedge's or paddle to one of the nearby waterfront restaurants and enjoy good food and refreshment.
  • Toms River - Call for Availability
  • A challenging river filled with tight, twisted turns & scattered dead fall. You will not encounter as many paddlers along this river which empties into tidal water at the center of Toms River. Wear you big boy pants & paddle with patience as this river is not for the first timer.

Kayak & Canoe Camping Trips

Choose a Kayak or Canoe and experience even more with a multi-day camping trip! These excursions combine mutiple days of paddling with overnight camping for the ultimate outdoor experience.
  • Mullica River (Overnight Trip)
  • This is a 5-star wilderness excursion located within Wharton State Forest. The brackish water meanders through a variety of maple swamps, cedar corridors, and pine barrens. Numerous high sandy banks and lush glades provide many stops along the way. Mullica camp is found at the mid-way point of this run, offering sanitary facilities and drinking water. Pick a spot within the camp area limits, "setup" and enjoy an overnight stay. It takes approximately 4-5 hours to Mullica camp and 3-4 hours from camp to the end.
  • Batsto River (Overnight Trip)
  • A remote pine barrens beauty of tea-colored water, offering cedar corridors, pine forests and maple swamps. This remote stream has sandy banks and plenty of twists and turns. Lower Forge camp can be reached within 3-4 hours ad offers sanitary facilities (no drinking water). Stay the night at this remote site only accessible by canoe or hiking. No vehicles permitted. The next day will take approximately 4-5 hours to the end.
  • Wading River (Day Trip or Overnight Trip)
  • One of the most popular streams in the pine barrens. A typical pine barrens stream offering 3 different wilderness camping areas along the way. This river can be done as a day trip with multiple points allowing for various trip lengths. All camping areas are accessible by vehicle and offer sanitary facilities and drinking water.
  • Oswego River (Day Trip)
  • An easy pinelands paddle with scenery of white cedars, marshy wetlands and multichannel ponds. This trip length is approximately 6.5 miles, long affording a day trip from 3.5 to 4.5 hours, depending on ability.
